Exhibition was supported by Cultural Endowment of Estonia
The exhibition "luba ma igatsen sind, luba ma uotan” showcases a captivating collection of four expansive embroideries, each narrating a unique tale of longing. Inspired by the concept of spatial stories (récits d'espace) proposed by the French historian and philosopher Michel de Certeau, the artist weaves together landscapes and narratives. In this exhibition, each story takes the form of a travel narrative, representing a spatial journey that traverses various locations within the landscape.
During the exhibition's opening, the artist will also present their poignant songs of longing titled "Landscape Memories." These evocative compositions were previously published by Värske Rőh, adding an additional layer of depth and emotion to the immersive experience of the exhibition.
