Maryliis Teinfeldt-Grins's embroidered artworks serve as poignant narratives of personal significance, each capturing the essence of places that hold great meaning for the artist. Within each piece, one finds a letter from the past, conveying the artist's yearning for individuals or locations that have played a significant role in her life, eventually fading from view to reside solely within her memories. Teinfeldt-Grins's works encapsulate emotionally charged moments, which may have initially appeared insignificant, but have since become intricately interwoven into the tapestry of her recollections, revealing their profound significance only years later.

These embroidered creations act as memory cards, with colors meticulously chosen to evoke the vividness of the emotions associated with each place. They serve as repositories of the artist's memories, where more than the physicality of the depicted scenes lies; they also contain intangible elements that cannot be grasped by hand or articulated in words.
